Online Instructional Videos (OIVS) is a multimedia educational gateway offering exciting Web-based instructional videos that ultimately leads to a much easier learning experience. We offer an alternative to traditional methods of interpreting content such as an instructional book, or attending long term lecture based classrooms.
Often compared to the slow growing e-learning, (which in most cases is nothing more than an electronic text based home study program). OIVS offers much more by creating a rich multimedia educational experience. This is achieved by allowing the viewer to watch web based videos presented by a “real” human with a very personal one –on-one approach. And because each person has a unique way of learning, several different videos/authors on the same topic will be available.

While there are many ways to harness the value of instructional videos over the web, our primary focus will be the teaching of software online.

Who author's the oIVs videos?
The OIVS method of delivering instructional content rivals that of a book publishing deal and/or a recording contract. OIVS does not staff the instructors; rather, our goal is to sign contracts and produce content with top notch professionals who wish to create instructional material.
OIVS signs the authors by combining the ideas of how a publishing company would create a book deal with an author, and how the recording industry signs contracts with artist to produce, record, market and distribute content. Basically mirroring two very successful industries.
Both the book and music industries work as business partners with their talent. Each deal begins with a business loan that is used to produce the content that both the artist and the company will profit from. In the recording industry this loan is used to produce, record (engineer), edit, and then finally market, duplicate and distribute the album. Once the product begins to sell the company collects on the initial loan prior to the artist/author receiving any revenue.
The recording industry also recognizes that for every artist that succeeds there will be a few that fail. To assure profitability the record companies only payback a small portion of royalties to each of the artist. The system is set up so that the more successful artist that have proven track record receive more revenue, and new artist and less performing artist receive less. As you can see this type of system allows companies to produce content with very little risk and with huge potential.

Employees of the subscribed corporations will be able to obtain access to material easily and securely, thus, reducing training cost, traveling time, and the resources needed to create and host material themselves, all the while enabling employees to get up to speed with new and accurate information on a timely basis.
ENTERING INTO THE RETAIL SPACE
Another exciting offering from OIVS is what we call the "Assembly Required Instructional Videos". OIVS will offer companies such as IKEA® or Circuit City®, etc. the ability to give their customers access to assisted assembly required videos. No longer will the customer have to pull out paper instructions to try to assemble their new furniture, electronic system, sophisticated toys, and endless other items that required intense instructions for the product he/she has just purchased.
OIVS would offer companies like IKEA® the opportunity to create video demonstration showing their customers how to assemble the newly purchased item.
Because this content lives online, the user will be able to access the content three or four years later to say disassemble and reassemble their furniture in a new location. This type of offering will save companies millions of dollars in preventing returned merchandise, endless customer service issues and ultimately will create and retain many more satisfied customers.
